Nicole Ackerman
Registered Dental Hygienest, Certified Myofunctional Therapist, & Advocate for Oral Health & Wellness
Services for Age 5 through Adulthood
Hi, I’m Nicole (she/her)! Since graduating from the Canadian National Institute of Health (CNIH) in 2016, I’ve spent the past nine years as a dedicated dental hygienist helping my clients maintain healthy and confident smiles. My education at the University of Lethbridge laid the groundwork for my journey, leading me from Ottawa back to Saskatoon where I could continue my professional growth and raise my family.
In 2024, I expanded my expertise by completing my certification in Myofunctional Therapy. This exciting new chapter allows me to integrate my dental knowledge with a focus on the importance of nasal breathing, sleep, jaw growth, and airway development. Myofunctional therapy is revolutionizing the way we approach sleep apnea, sleep-disordered breathing, and conditions like tongue ties. By correcting oral and facial muscle function, we can significantly improve breathing patterns, sleep quality, and overall health.
Outside of working with clients, my husband and I are busy chasing after our two energetic boys and our golden doodle, Romeo. You can also find me spending time at the lake with our family and friends, reading, or enjoying a good Netflix series.
I look forward to working with you or your little one to improve your quality of life!
Please note: this service is not able to be direct billed. You may, however, be eligible for reimbursement of myofuntional therapy assessment and sessions through your benefits and if you have a health spending account.
